Blood Glucose Measurement Units

When monitoring your blood glucose, always make sure that the glucose measurement units are set correctly, or you may misinterpret your blood glucose test results. It is possible to accidentally change the measurement units when you set up your meter. Please confirm that your country-specific Unit of Measure (mmol/L, which is used in Australia) is shown on the meter with every glucose result. Please refer to your meter’s User Manual for questions regarding your meter set up. For your convenience, you may download a copy of your meter's User Manual directly from our website for how-to's and helpful product information.

Unit of Measure Reference Table

It is important to know which Unit of Measure the country in which you live has adopted — millimoles per litre (mmol/L), which is used in Australia, or milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL), which is used in some other countries. For your convenience, please refer to the reference table listed below to compare your meter settings with the typical Unit of Measure used in the countries noted.
