CoPilot

The CoPilot system is a user-friendly, Windows-based PC software solution that helps patients manage their diabetes and helps healthcare professionals manage their patients' glycaemic control for improved health. The CoPilot system offers an innovative solution to health management that combines powerful reporting with ease-of-use. Together with our FreeStyle blood glucose monitoring systems and Optium blood glucose monitoring systems, the CoPilot system provides a comprehensive, user-friendly solution for helping patients take control of their health.

Informative Reports:

The CoPilot system offers 12 informative, graphical reports that can be viewed on-screen, printed, and sent via email. These reports give patients the insight needed to help assess their progress towards improved glycaemic control.

Print, Fax and E-Mail a Report:

The CoPilot system gives you the option for printing, faxing or emailing a report. The following are a list of options you have for printing, faxing or emailing a report:

• Print current report
• Choose to attach statistics to printed reports
• Print favorite reports
• 1-Click option to upload and print favorites automatically
• Save report as a full color Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file

Using Internet Explorer (IE)

There are two options on the dialog box to install the CoPilot software:

• Run (recommended option) - the program will download and run automatically
• Save - the program will download the file to the specified location. However, you will need to run SetupCopilot.exe manually

Please note: the security settings of your Internet Explorer may be configured to display a second dialog box. This dialog box will have two buttons: Run and Don't Run. Please click Run button to commence installation.

Finally, follow instructions of Installation Wizard.

Please note, if you are reinstalling CoPilot then a new dialog box will be shown at the start of the Installation Wizard.

This dialog box will have options: Uninstall, Repair and Add/Remove Features. Choose Repair if you intend to reinstall the software.

Using Firefox:

Firefox will let you save the file but you may not have the run option. Therefore, click Save File button (on the dialog box) to download the SetupCopilot.exe.

Please note that Download Manager will automatically start and display the download progress. Wait for download to finish.

Double click SetupCopilot.exe from Download Manager to commence the installation. Finally, follow instructions of Installation Wizard.

Please note, if you are reinstalling Copilot then a new dialog box will be shown at the start of the Installation Wizard.

This dialog box will have options: Uninstall, Repair and Add/Remove Features. Choose Repair if you intend to reinstall the software.

CoPilot System Product Specifications

System Requirements

• Personal Computer with 400 megahertz (MHz) or higher processor clock speed recommended (The software does not run on Apple computers.)
• Internet connection or compact disc CD-ROM drive.
• Random access memory (RAM) of 128 megabytes (MB) or more.
• Available hard drive space of 30 MB.
• Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP operating systems.
• Monitor with 1024X768 or higher resolution.
• USB or Serial port, available 9-pin EIA-232 (also known as RD-232 or V.24) or appropriate adapter for a universal serial bus (USB) for glucose meter connection.

Note: CoPilot is currently not compatible with computers running 64 bit Operating Systems such as Vista 64-bit and Windows 7 64-bit.

Optional

• Windows-compatible printer (required if you want to print copies of reports)
• Windows-compatible fax software and drivers (required if you want to use fax capabilities)
• E-mail application (required if you want to use e-mail capabilities)
• FreeStyle system or Optium systems USB Data cable (required for uploading data from compatible devices).
