MediSense® Normal Control Solution

For use with all Abbott Diabetes Care Blood Glucose meters.

By using control solutions regularly, you can check the performance of your meter and test strips.  You should do a control test:

• With each new pack of test strips
• When you question your results
• To make sure that your meter and test strips are still working properly
• When you alter your medications.

FreeStyle Lancing Device

The FreeStyle Lancing Device is included when you purchase a FreeStyle Papillon Mini blood glucose meter. The FreeStyle Lancing Device uses the convenient Abbott Thin Lancets. The FreeStlye Lancing Device comes with an alternate site cap which will allow you to test on sites other than your fingertips**.

Abbott Thin Lancets

• 100 sterile Lancets.
• Use Lancets only once.
• For use with the EasyTouch Lancing Device, FreeStyle Lancing Device and most generic Lancing Devices.

EasyTouch™ Lancing Device and Clear Cap

The EasyTouch Lancing Device is a lancing device that is included when you purchase an Optium™ or Optium Xceed™ blood glucose meter.  The EasyTouch Lancing Device uses the convenient Abbott Thin Lancets. 

By contacting our Customer Service line on free call 1800 801 478 you will receive a clear alternative site cap, which will allow you to test on sites other than your fingertips**. 

If you are using an AutoLancet (as above) with your Optium™ or TrueSense™ meter and would like to perform alternative site testing, you can also call our Customer Service line to obtain a free EasyTouch Lancing Device and alternative site testing cap.

** When you are testing because you think your blood glucose is low, test using your finger. Alternative site results may be different from fingertip results when blood sugar levels are unstable. An Easy Touch™ lancing device and Easy Touch™ AST clear cap approved for alternative site testing are recommended for use when testing on areas other than the fingertip. Please read product instructions for use.
